Born and raised in Maryland, Lexi started playing trumpet at age 9 and has taken private lessons for the past eight years after taking six years of piano. She is a rising junior at St. Olaf College, where she is pursuing a degree in psychology and is planning to add a second major in music in the fall. She currently takes private lessons with Dr. Martin Hodel and participates in several ensembles on campus. She is skilled in multiple musical styles, such as classical, contemporary, world music, and musical theatre. She has participated in a variety of musical groups throughout high school and college, including symphony orchestras, wind ensembles, pit orchestras, jazz bands, chamber brass ensembles, and marching band. She has held leadership roles in many of those ensembles, including serving as principal trumpet and soloist, section leader, and senior drum major. She looks forward to sharing her love of trumpet with your children!
